President Gordon Fitzpatrick talks about his arrival at CedarCreek and how his father Senator Ross Fitzpatrick was able to get him to come to work at CedarCreek Estate Winery.
FEBRUARY- while most people seem to think that it is a very quiet time of the year at the winery, few know how much work there is to do this time of the year. We thought we'd share with you all that happens around here in February. Bud break and the first few leaves aren't to be seen on the vines until late spring, however the growing season has already started and the vines need to be prepared. For this, one of the first steps is 'PRUNING'. So join Winery President Gordon Fitzpatrick and Vineyard Manager Terry Trapnell as they take you out in the vineyard and tell you all about pruning!
Proprietor Senator Ross Fitzpatrick cherishes his childhood memories and narrates how Cedarcreek Estate Winery was born. One of the FIRST 8 wineries of the Okanagan Valley, located in Kelowna, CedarCreek is celebrating its 25 years anniversary this year (2012). "Respect the land, honour tradition and pursue perfection" has been our commitment and we are proud to share our heritage, the history of Winemaking in British Columbia and some behind the scene winemaking.
