Knowing when to be hands-off comes with experience - in our case over 20 years of it. If we could get our Gewürztraminer into stainless steel tanks without touching it, we would. Until then, we practice what we call, "hands-off winemaking" to preserve the delicate aromatics that make it special. Sometimes the little things we do are the things we don't do. All our winemaking decisions get the same attention to detail as the Gewürztraminer does. And the results show in every bottle. On that, you have our word.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Harvested from Greata Ranch and CedarCreek, including other sites in Naramata and East Kelowna, this varietal thrives in cool climate viticulture regions. The 2008 vintage was cold-fermented in 100% stainless steel and finished in an off-dry style.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas of white grapefruit, lemon/ lime citrus with a hint of spice. Lychee and grapefruit dominates the palate with refreshing acidity.
CULINARY NOTES
Recommended with grilled prawns, halibut and Thai curries with fresh fruit.
88/100 POINTS
"Floral, grapefruit, orange, sausage meat, ginger, spicy nose. Fresh, juicy, slightly sweet palate with grapefruit, mineral, ginger, green apple, spicy, lychee flavours. Simple, fresh, citrusy style with good varietal character."
