WINEMAKER’S NOTES
CedarCreek has a history of producing fine Merlots; this is our fourth and last Estate Select Merlot vintage. The wine is enjoyable now but will continue to develop for another 10 years. Sourced from six distinct vineyards, from Peachland to Osoyoos, this Merlot has been aged in French oak and blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc resulting in an extremely balanced wine.
TASTING NOTES
Deep, dark red cherry with intense aromas of vanilla, blackberry, fruitcake and chocolate. Full bodied with mouth filling flavours of ripe black fruits surrounded by soft, fine tannins. With high levels of fruit concentration, this wine will continue to develop with additional cellar aging.
CULINARY NOTES
Recommended with grilled red meats including lamb. Pairs well with chocolate desserts and medium to firm cheeses.
