Our very best wines are bottled as Platinum. It’s our reminder that the choices we make have to add up to one better than gold.Made from clones 76, 96 and Washington, the Platinum Chardonnay was whole berry cluster pressed and 100% barrel fermented. Hand-harvested at CedarCreek, Greata Ranch, Mauz and Duncan Vineyards,  we aged the 2008 vintage 10 months in French oak from Coopers François Frères, Cadus, Berthomieu, Remond and Dargaud & Jaegle. Without these details, our Chardonnay wouldn’t be Platinum. And the results show in every bottle. On that you have our word.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Produced from specific blocks of

low-yielding Chardonnay clones

picked at full maturity and selected

for flavour concentration. These

grapes were harvested from Greata

Ranch as well as from the Mauz

Vineyard in Osoyoos and the Duncan

Vineyard in Naramata. Fermented in

new French oak (62%) and one and

two year old French oak. Aged sur lie

for 11 months before bottling.

TASTING NOTES

An intense yet elegant nose of golden

apple, pear, citrus, tropical fruits and

vanilla backed by a subtle hazelnut

toastiness. The mouth feel is well

balanced and rich with a smooth,

creamy texture on the palate.

CULINARY NOTES

Pairs well with fresh crab, lobster

and wild salmon, halibut and seafood

stews. Rich, cream sauced pasta

and Caesar salad work well also.

“This elegant wine begins with a biscuity aroma, along with citrus notes. The flavours include citrus, with a buttery note reflecting treatment in the cellar.”
